About the role and about you:
This position is for Second in Command (SIC) of a turbo-prop King Air 350 based out of Phoenix, Arizona and requires a strong ability to multi-task, making high level complex decisions while completing a variety of aviation related tasks. The flying for this position will support the Advanced Air Essential Air Service communities and on-demand charter.
The main objective is to provide Advanced Air travelers a world class experience in a fleet of King Air 350's. While holding up to the standards of Advanced Air, LLC flight operations, interacting with all charter customers, aircraft owners, and airline passenger travelers.
What you will do:
  • Assist the pilot-in-command during all phases of flight in accordance with operating policies and procedures.
  • Perform a visual pre-flight (walk-around) inspection prior to each flight.
  • Perform a visual post-flight (walk-around) after each flight.
  • Assume primary responsibility for the safety of the passengers, crewmembers, cargo, and the aircraft should the pilot-in-command become incapacitated or unable to perform his/her duties.
  • Have primary operational responsibility for successfully completing the customer service portions of each leg as outlined in the policies and procedures manual.
  • Review thoroughly and brief the pilot-in-command specifically on all customer service items including, but not limited to passenger pick up, passenger drop off, refueling, customs, private hangar pick up/drop off, private hangar communications requirements, and passenger catering.
  • Comply with all Federal Aviation Regulations, Company Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, and Company Policies and Procedures
  • INITIAL NEW-HIRE Consists of all ground training curriculum segments in their entirety, with the aircraft ground being specific to the type(s) of aircraft in which the airman is to qualify. The flight training will cover all required events and maneuvers with none being waived by the qualified flight instructor.
  • Update flight and duty records, determine eligibility for the next flight assignment and ensure any aircraft maintenance discrepancies are reported to the Captain and reported in accordance with operating policy and procedure
  • Participate proactively in safety and quality systems by identifying, reporting, and mitigating hazards and quality issues.?Provide timely input to management and apply systems processes to address quality and safety issues. Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the pilot-in-command, the Chief Pilot or higher authority.

Requirements
What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1100 hours total time, 500 PIC, 50 hours multi-engine fixed wing, Commercial Airplane Multi Engine Land
  • 500 hours cross-country flight time; 100 hours nighttime, 75 hours instrumental flight time of which 50 were in actual flight.
  • CFI, CFII, MEI Certificates, preferred but not required.
  • Successfully pass oral/written exam administered by FAA approved Advanced Air, LLC Check Airman, or a representative of the Administrator within the preceding 12 calendar months as required by FAR 135.293(a)
  • Successfully complete competency check administered in the type of airplane within the preceding 12 calendar months conducted by a FAA approved Advanced Air, LLC Check Airman or an FAA Inspector, as required by FAR 135.293(b)
  • Must have completed the 6-month IFR proficiency check given by an FAA inspector or a FAA approved Advanced Air, LLC Check Airman (FAR 135.297)
  • Demonstrated enroute, arrival and departure procedures by completing an enroute check (FAR 135.299) with an FAA inspector or a FAA approved Advanced Air, LLC Check Airmen
  • Must be Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration rules and regulations.
  • Must be Knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures.

  • Must be able to have ability to multi-task.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass FAA drug/alcohol screening, background checks and submit to random drug test when required.
  • Maintain a current medical certificate as required by the company.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to manipulate, push, pull, and lift heavy objects more than 150 lbs.
  • Ability to climb onto and off an airplane wing as part of the preflight, post flight, or during an over wing emergency exit.
  • Digital dexterity for aircraft preflight and post flight
  • Ability to execute flights of up to 4.5 hours up to a total flight time of 10 hours per day during a 14-hour duty period.
  • Current U.S. Passport with at least 6 months always remaining during employment period.

What you can expect:
  • SICs will a compensated at a salary rate of $55,000.00.
  • Training contract will be required for 12 months from date of completion of initial training.
  • Flight Crews will work a mixed schedule of Days ON and Days OFF that will generate 10 days off a month.
  • Flight Crews average 15 flying days a month and 8 to 12 nights away from base as the schedule allows. Pilots bid days off based on seniority 14 days in advance, which will generate a schedule of 10 meaningful hard days off a month. There are 13 schedule periods in a calendar year. Days that are listed as "On" flight crews will be available to work for Advanced Air. Days that do not have assigned flying will have a set On Call period to them.?On Call periods will require flight crew to be within approximate two hours of the airport and in a fit to fly state.?Days Off, the pilot will not be expected to be available for Advanced Air
