Location: Mt. Sterling, IL, Chesterfield, MO, or Remote
Department: Sales
Reports To: Director of Retail Sales - West
Salary: $87,410 - $131,116 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As Retail Corporate Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing and managing key retail grocery customers, including supermarket wholesalers and self-distributing chains. In addition to managing existing customers, you will also establish new business partnerships and play a major role in penetrating the broker organizations and retail manufacturers within the grocery segment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Conduct headquarter calls to facilitate growth
  • Work with manufacturers and brokers in the supermarket industry to expose them to our consolidation program value, consignment, and cross dock capabilities
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and management teams, both internal and external to increase service level and customer satisfaction
  • Work with assigned customers to resolve various supply chain issues and process customer deductions
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position and improve territory profitability

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable Dot experience
  • 2+ years of successful outside sales experience
  • Experience presenting to large and small groups
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to navigate and resolve complex supply chain problems and create positive outcomes

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including planning and follow-up skills
  • Ability to impact and influence customers at the senior management level throughout the decision-making process
  • Demonstrated aptitude in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Occasional overnight travel required (5-7 nights per month)
  • Ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane or train for customer/vendor calls, training or industry meetings
