Location: Remote - United States
Urgent hiring need - we are looking to hire a recruiter within the next week for a 4-5 month fully remote engagement supporting a major clinic expansion initiative.
Ascend HR Corp | HR Maximizer is seeking an experienced Healthcare Recruiter to support a high-priority hiring initiative for Legacy Community Health, the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Texas and one of the largest community health systems in the Gulf Coast region.
This fully remote recruiting engagement supports Legacy's talent acquisition team as they staff multiple clinics and healthcare programs across the Houston and Beaumont regions.
We are looking for recruiters who can step in quickly, manage requisitions independently, communicate effectively with hiring managers, and deliver well-vetted candidates in a fast-moving healthcare environment.

What You'll Be Doing
You will support recruiting efforts across clinical and operational roles and work closely with the Legacy Community Health Talent Acquisition leadership team.
Responsibilities include:
  • Managing assigned healthcare requisitions from intake through candidate presentation
  • Sourcing candidates through databases, networking, and direct outreach
  • Conducting candidate screenings and evaluating qualifications and motivations
  • Presenting well-qualified candidates with organized notes and documentation
  • Maintaining recruiting activity within the ATS
  • Communicating regularly with hiring managers and recruiting leadership
  • Providing timely follow-up with candidates and maintaining a strong candidate experience
  • Operating efficiently in a high-volume recruiting environment

Recruiters in this role will manage requisitions independently while partnering closely with hiring managers to move candidates through the hiring process.

3+ years of recruiting experience preferred
• Healthcare recruiting experience strongly preferred
• Experience in staffing agency or full-desk recruiting environments highly valued
• Ability to manage 35-40 active requisitions, occasionally flexing higher
• Strong candidate vetting skills - understanding motivations, movement, and potential risks
• Excellent communication and customer service with hiring managers
• Highly organized documentation and recruiting activity tracking
• Strong follow-through and responsiveness in a remote environment
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced hiring environment
• Creative sourcing and relationship-building skills
Experience working with ATS platforms such as JazzHR, Greenhouse, Workday, or similar systems is helpful.
Recruiters with both agency and in-house recruiting experience often thrive in this environment because they understand the balance between speed, quality, and stakeholder expectations.

Compensation
Compensation will depend on experience and engagement structure.
Typical pay for this engagement:
$39/hour - Independent Contractor (1099)
$35/hour - W2 temporary employee through Ascend HR Corp | HR Maximizer
Recruiters may be engaged as a W2 temporary employee or as an established independent contractor.
