Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for inventory and capacity planning professionals experienced in reviewing planning documents, spreadsheets, slide decks, inventory models, demand and supply forecasts, replenishment plans, capacity models, throughput analysis, and presentation-ready business artifacts for accuracy, rigor, clarity, and domain quality.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on inventory and capacity planning artifact review, rubric-based evaluation, document and spreadsheet assessment, slide deck quality review, structured feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will evaluate AI-generated work products and apply subject-matter expertise to identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and presentation issues.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Inventory & Planning Artifact Review

  • Evaluate AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks involving inventory planning, capacity planning, replenishment, demand forecasting, supply planning, resource planning, and workload forecasting
  • Review planning materials for accuracy, completeness, rigor, clarity, and practical relevance
  • Assess artifacts involving stock levels, reorder points, safety stock, lead times, service levels, demand variability, and inventory risk
  • Identify inaccurate assumptions, weak planning logic, unclear calculations, incomplete context, or poor linkage between data and recommendations

Capacity & Resource Planning Evaluation

  • Review materials involving capacity models, utilization analysis, throughput planning, workload scenarios, bottleneck analysis, staffing models, and resource allocation
  • Assess whether recommendations are realistic, measurable, and aligned with the stated business context
  • Evaluate scenario models, sensitivity analysis, planning dashboards, resource summaries, and executive-facing recommendations for rigor and usability
  • Provide clear written feedback that improves planning quality and artifact usefulness

Spreadsheet, Document & Presentation Quality Review

  • Review spreadsheets for structure, logic, calculations, formatting, usability, and consistency
  • Assess slide decks for organization, visual clarity, executive readability, and presentation quality
  • Identify factual, aesthetic, formatting, and presentation errors across Microsoft Office and Google Workspace files
  • Apply consistent review standards across documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in inventory planning, capacity planning, supply chain planning, demand planning, supply planning, production planning, resource planning, logistics planning, warehouse planning, or related work
  • Native or professional fluency in English
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong experience with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, and Google Docs
  • Ability to evaluate documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to provide structured feedback
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Educational Background

  • Academic backgrounds in supply chain, industrial engineering, business analytics, logistics, manufacturing, finance, statistics, data analysis, or related fields may be relevant
  • Advanced degree from a reputable institution may be valuable
  • Professional training in inventory planning, capacity planning, demand forecasting, supply planning, or resource planning may also be relevant depending on project scope

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Certifications or training such as CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or comparable planning-related credentials
  • Experience creating or reviewing inventory models, replenishment plans, capacity models, demand forecasts, planning dashboards, resource plans, or management presentations
  • Familiarity with ERP, MRP, WMS, forecasting tools, planning systems, Excel models, Google Sheets, or BI dashboards
  • Strong ability to evaluate both planning substance and visual/presentation quality
