Job Overview:
  • The Senior Project Manager (IT) will be responsible for managing multiple complex IT projects, including custom software application development initiatives.
  • The role involves defining project scope, preparing project charters and business plans, managing stakeholders, ensuring governance compliance, and delivering IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • University degree in Business, Management, or related discipline with 4 years of Project Management experience, OR
  • Two-year diploma in Business, Management, or related discipline with 6 years of Project Management experience, OR
  • One-year certificate in Business, Management, or related discipline with 7 years of Project Management experience, OR
  • 8 years of Project Management experience.
  • 6+ years of experience defining project scope and goals with business stakeholders.
  • 8+ years of experience developing project deliverables such as project charters, business cases, status reports, risk logs, dashboards, and project closures.
  • 8+ years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • 6+ years of experience delivering large complex custom software application development projects within enterprise environments.

Experience:

  • Strong experience in enterprise IT project management environments.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and IT stakeholders.
  • Experience managing governance and project delivery in structured PMO environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile project charters and business/project plans to support project execution.
  • Define project delivery approach to achieve business objectives and data integrity.
  • Manage IT projects aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop recommendations including resource requirements, dependencies, and policy implications.
  • Prepare and present project deliverables to steering committees and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects, resources, and governance processes.
  • Ensure effective communication with project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Track project status, milestones, risks, issues, budget, and resources.
  • Develop project schedules, plans, and resource estimates.
  • Provide leadership to project teams and ensure timely execution of tasks.
  • Develop requirements and supporting project documentation as needed.
  • Assess project outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support change management and communication planning activities.
  • Work within PMO standards and help define or improve standards when required.
  • Utilize AI tools to improve reporting efficiency and productivity.

Should Have:

  • Experience conducting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project for forecasting and scheduling.
  • Experience managing executive-level stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience working in government or public sector environments.
  • Experience leading change management and communication planning.
  • Experience managing contact center or AI-driven support system projects.
  • Experience leading custom software development lifecycle projects.
  • Experience working on transition service desk projects.
