As a remote Project Manager you are interfacing and communicating with technical staff including support and deployment, engineering, and sales to understand solution requirements, complete deliverables for concurrent customer projects, and facilitates communication between TECH5 US and their customers to plan and review the schedule and status of deployment.

While the position is full-time remote, team structure and customer distribution require the person filling this position to be physically located in or near the Richmond, VA area.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Communicates with internal teams and customers to plan and review implementation status.
  • Manages customer expectations relating to schedule, scope, quality, and acceptance.
  • Creates and manages project schedules, resource plans and communication plans.
  • Creates and manages project issues, risks, and action items.
  • Escalates project issues to project sponsor and senior management as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of high-quality implementations to customers.
  • Coordinates delivery team activities for customer environments.
  • Create streamlined repeatable processes and templates for the implementation of customer projects.
  • Ensures adherence to TECH5 US Project Management policies based on Project Management Institute, Agile, and company, best practices.
  • Participates in internal and customer status meetings; provides status reporting to project team.
  • Ensures efficient transition of project through planning, development, deployment, support and administration and accounting stages.
  • Keeps current with Project Management processes and technologies.
  • Travel expectations may be up to 10%.
  • Must be willing and able, without reservation, to pass multiple law enforcement background checks.
  • Completes annual security training and adhere to TECH5 USA’s security policies and procedures; notifies IT with any suspicious emails or other activity.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be defined or assigned from time to time.


Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience managing multiple concurrent deployment projects within the software technology industry with a team of at least five staff is required.
  • Project Management Certification is preferred (PMI PMP, CAPM, ACP, or other similar certification)
  • Process development and team leadership experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of IT System Security, Identity Management, User Authentication or Biometrics is desired.
  • Knowledge/experience with industry standards including SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and LDAP are a plus.
  • Experience with deployments in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud service deployment is required.


Skills:

  • Fluent English skills, written and verbal, are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize appropriately.
  • Capacity to understand, interpret and explain complex technical systems to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to establish a professional and effective rapport with the customer.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated application of project management tools and procedures.
  • General knowledge of technology and PC computing.
  • Positive attitude and ability to manage high-energy situations to facilitate best outcomes.
  • Situational awareness to understand when escalation is appropriate.
  • Detail oriented, able to track and organize information, data, and communications efficiently to ensure project issues are dealt with promptly and properly.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $95,000.  Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, local labor market, certifications, etc. TECH5 USA complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
