The Information Technology Engineer designs, develops, implements and maintains LiveOnNY’s information cloud technologies, including Information Technology (IT) Systems, Infrastructure, Network, Security and Operations to achieve business objectives.  The Information Technology Engineer is responsible for ensuring responsive, secure and scalable systems, overseeing IT projects and ensuring that IT delivery aligns with business goals.  The Information Technology Engineer role is a full-time position, and it is expected to adhere to all organizational policies and applicable regulatory obligations, stewardship of resources, confidentiality, and ethical conduct, and to devote all professional time to the performance of the responsibilities of this job description and remain available to fulfill management responsibilities inside and outside standard business hours as LiveOnNY’s needs dictate. In this role, you will report directly to and work closely with the Chief Architect and the Vice President, Chief Administrative and Technology Officer.

This position is a fully onsite, in-office role based at LiveOnNY. Remote work or hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.


  • Technology Structure: Serves as the technical lead for design, development, and maintenance of technology as part of LiveOnNY’s systems, networks and applications. Develop and maintain robust, scalable IT solutions ensuring cross-platform capability and responsiveness. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing technology and networks.
  • Transformation: Lead initiatives to modernize IT systems, adopt modern technologies and processes and integrate them into the business to foster innovation and improve operations. 
  • Security: Ensure the security of the company's information assets, implement security best practices, manage accessibility, and implement protocols providing protection of LiveOnNY’s assets. 
  • Team Leadership and Communication: Mentor the IT department's staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical business managers, stakeholders, and other teams to define requirements and resolve issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Define and enforce technical standards, best practices.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage technological risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Required:

  • Proven technical proficiency and experience. A strong understanding and working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (architect), SQL Server Administration, Azure Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerApps, Data Gateway), and emerging Cloud technologies
  • Drive technical architecture, design, and implementation of complex features
  • Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and mentoring skills
  • Effective leadership and excellent communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills, capable of managing escalated situations with professionalism.  Ability to communicate with all levels of staff including collaboration with Executive Leadership
  • Decision input over technology standards, integration patterns, cloud and security architecture, data strategy, modernization roadmaps, and lifecycle governance
  • Must operate at the intersection of business strategy and technology strategy, advising Executive Leadership (the CEO, COO), managing enterprise technology risk, and steering transformation across all departments

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.  Master’s degree a plus. 7+ years of progressive relevant engineering experience.  Deep knowledge of relevant technology stack, e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Data Warehouse, PowerPlatform, Azure Services, etc.  Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a technical team.

Preferred: Working knowledge of Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric, CoPilot. Microsoft certifications are highly valued.

Salary Range: $110,000-$145,000 annually
