Senior PowerApps Developer w/ strong SQL background Hiring Company: Epik Solutions Fulltime with Epik Solutions Location: San Ramon, CA Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days a week onsite). Compensation: Compensation will depend on experience, with a range of $110,000 - $130,000 for full-time, plus benefits including participation in health insurance, vision, and dental benefits; 401K retirement plan; and paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas now or in the future. Third-party (C2C) arrangements are not accepted. Job Description About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled PowerApps Developer with strong expertise in SQL, Power BI to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade analytics, reporting solutions, and business applications. This role requires a blend of advanced data modeling, dashboard development, backend SQL expertise, and Power Platform application development. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and cross-functional departments to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that support key business needs.

Responsibilities: PowerApps & Power Platform Build and enhance Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps to support business workflows. Integrate PowerApps solutions with SQL databases, SharePoint, Dataverse, APIs, and other enterprise systems. Support automation using Power Automate, creating flows to streamline business processes.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues across PowerApps, Power BI, and SQL-based solutions. SQL / Data Engineering Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to support analytics and custom applications. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities across multiple data sources.

Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity within reporting and application ecosystems. Work with Azure SQL, SQL Server, or other relational database systems as needed. Power BI (is a huge plus) Design, develop, and deploy highly interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.

Build robust data models, DAX calculations, KPIs, and reusable semantic models. Optimize Power BI datasets, gateways, refresh schedules, and overall report performance. Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable visual solutions.

Requirements: Overall 8+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data development, and Power Platform development. Strong, hands-on expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard/report development is a plus. Advanced proficiency in SQL (SQL Server, Azure SQL, or equivalent).

Proven experience with PowerApps (Canvas & Model-Driven Apps) and Power Automate. Experience integrating Power BI and PowerApps with APIs, SQL databases, and cloud services. Solid understanding of data structures, relational modeling, and performance optimization.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Ability to work independently, lead technical initiatives, and guide junior team members.
