Medtronic's Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business is focused on empowering clinicians with intelligent monitoring technologies that deliver timely insights and improve patient care across hospital and post-acute settings. Within ACM, the HealthCast™ Digital Health portfolio brings together wearables, remote patient monitoring, analytics, and connectivity to enable more proactive, data-driven care.
As the Global Senior Product Manager - Upstream Marketing for Remote Monitoring (RM) & Analytics, you will lead strategy for one of the most critical and fastest-growing areas of ACM's digital health portfolio. This role is responsible for defining where the RM & analytics platform goes next, shaping the product roadmap, and ensuring market, customer, clinical, and economic insights directly inform product and platform decisions.
You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, market development, clinical workflows, data & analytics, and algorithms, partnering closely with R&D, Medical Affairs, downstream marketing, regional teams, and executive leadership. Remote patient monitoring and analytics are central to the transformation of acute, post-acute, and home-based care. This role ensures Medtronic continues to lead by:
  • Defining differentiated RM and analytics strategies grounded in real clinical and operational needs
  • Translating data into actionable insights that improve outcomes and efficiency
  • Shaping scalable, global platforms that integrate seamlessly into the broader ACM ecosystem

This position plays a pivotal role in determining what we build, why we build it, and how it creates value for clinicians, patients, and health systems worldwide.

This role includes global travel up to 30% of the time and regularly interacts with global partners and stakeholders requiring meetings after normal business hours as needed.
A Day in the Life
As a senior upstream leader, you will own the front end of innovation and portfolio strategy for Remote Patient Monitoring & Analytics. You'll work closely with upstream R&D and platform teams to translate market needs into clear product requirements, while maintaining a strong feedback loop with commercial and regional teams to ensure successful downstream execution.
You will serve as the voice of the customer and the business, balancing clinical value, evidence, regulatory considerations, and platform scalability to guide investment and prioritization decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Upstream Product & Portfolio Strategy
  • Own the upstream marketing strategy for the RM & analytics portfolio within ACM Digital Health
  • Define product vision, differentiation, and strategic intent for RM platforms, analytics, and insights
  • Lead portfolio segmentation, use case definition, and value proposition development across care settings
  • Influence short-, mid-, and long-term roadmap priorities based on VOC, market dynamics, evidence, and business strategy

Voice of Customer & Market Insights
  • Lead structured VOC efforts across clinicians, health system leaders, IT, and economic buyers
  • Translate unmet needs into clear product requirements, epics, and platform capabilities
  • Monitor competitive landscape, emerging technologies, regulatory trends, and reimbursement models to inform strategy

Roadmap & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with R&D, UX, data science, and platform teams to shape requirements, prioritization, and tradeoffs
  • Own upstream inputs into investment cases, platform evolution, and lifecycle decisions
  • Ensure alignment across downstream marketing, regions, and franchises on portfolio direction and sequencing

Clinical, Evidence & Economic Value
  • Partner with Medical Affairs to define evidence strategies, endpoints, and clinical narratives for RM and analytics
  • Collaborate on value frameworks tied to outcomes, workflow efficiency, capacity optimization, and economics
  • Ensure reimbursement, regulatory, and adoption considerations are embedded early in product strategy

Ecosystem & Platform Thinking
  • Position RM & analytics as a core part of the broader ACM digital ecosystem
  • Drive platform-based thinking that enables scalability, interoperability, and optionality across markets
  • Identify partnership opportunities and ecosystem dependencies that accelerate innovation and adoption

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in upstream product management, product marketing, or strategy role
    OR advanced degree with 5+ years of in upstream product management, product marketing, or strategy role

Nice to Have
  • Demonstrated experience leading upstream product strategy for digital health, software, analytics, or platforms
  • Proven ability to influence roadmap decisions in a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience with Remote Monitoring, patient monitoring, analytics platforms, or digital health ecosystems
  • Understanding of clinical workflows across acute, post-acute, and/or home care settings
  • Familiarity with reimbursement models (e.g., RM, CCM, value-based care) and evidence-driven adoption
  • Experience partnering closely with R&D, Medical Affairs, and downstream commercial teams
  • Strong executive communication skills with ability to translate complexity into clear, strategic direction
  • MBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, data science, or life sciences

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$134,400.00 - $201,600.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
