Job Title: Metadata Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Metadata Developer to support enterprise-wide Data Governance and Metadata Management initiatives within a Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining metadata management solutions, enabling both business and technical users to discover, understand, and trust enterprise data assets.
This role will collaborate closely with Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders to enhance metadata capabilities using modern cloud data platforms and governance tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business metadata, technical metadata, data lineage, and Critical Data Element (CDE) frameworks
• Configure and administer metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra), including workflows, domains, and governance processes
• Design and implement metadata ingestion and integration processes across enterprise data platforms
• Integrate metadata platforms with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog and other data sources
• Build automated metadata synchronization and lineage capture solutions
• Support metadata quality, governance, and stewardship initiatives
• Collaborate with data architects and governance teams to define metadata standards and best practices
• Analyze metadata requirements and implement scalable governance solutions
• Support regulatory, audit, compliance, and risk management initiatives through enhanced data traceability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra)
• Strong experience with:
