Contract Type: W2
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Remote (PST)
Pay Range: $58/hr - $63/hr
Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Steward with 5+ years of experience to support data governance, metadata management, data quality initiatives, and stewardship activities. This is a remote position requiring occasional onsite presence only when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage business metadata, definitions, attributes, and data standards.
  • Review data profiling results and identify data quality issues and root causes.
  • Support remediation planning and execution for approved data quality improvements.
  • Provide business context for datasets, including data creation, consumption, and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with Business Data Stewards, Technical Stewards, and System Owners to validate data lineage and system behavior.
  • Support Planning-for-Control readiness activities and escalate data governance risks as needed.

Must-Have Skills:
  • 5+ years of Data Stewardship, Data Governance, or Data Management experience.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management and data quality processes.
  • Experience with data profiling, data lineage, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, controls, and standards.
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to document business definitions, rules, and data standards.

Industry Experience:
  • Experience in enterprise data governance, data management, or data quality programs.
  • Background supporting large-scale data governance and stewardship initiatives within regulated or complex enterprise environments preferred.
