Job description

Position Overview:
As a member of the Global End User Support team, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting the organization's IT Desktop Infrastructure in Budapest, and also support offices based in other regional locations (some travel maybe requirement). The position could also remotely support any location in our global footprint.
Responsibilities:
  • The role would also be responsible for installing/maintaining office (O365) technologies for our end users, this includes supporting Outlook, Teams, the office suite, remote connectivity, VPN, building laptops/desktops, installing end user equipment (monitors, docking stations, headsets, etc.), transferring profiles, A/V conference setups, and any other support needed.
  • You will be required to work with users when on site, and to also support them remotely when they are working from home.
  • This role will also be expected to take part in any number of projects they are called upon; this could include anything from a hardware refresh project, to a conference room configuration upgrade.
  • This position reports directly into the London Office Field Services lead.
  • The position is to primarily work on site, but there may be days where you work solely from home.
  • This role will be responsible for managing and supporting the End User Computing environment including but not limited to end user devices in the Budapest office. At times acting as remote hands for some operations done on the local infrastructure components as local Storage, Virtualized Desktops, network device etc.
  • The role would also involve providing quick and effective turnaround for tickets logged, after completing due investigation.
  • This candidate would be responsible for the timely and effective management and prioritization of tickets assigned to them
  • The ideal candidate would be dynamic, motivated and able to perform independently as well as work in partnership with Remote Helpdesk and various technology disciplines such as Operations, Windows, UNIX and Networks.
  • When on site perform daily check and confirmation that site specific common technology is operational and organized (conference rooms, printing, etc.)

Desired Experience/Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Desktop Windows 10/Office/ O365 / and other common desktop related software packages
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of communication - name resolution/ TCPIP/ DNS/ DHCP
  • Fluent English skills.
  • Customer oriented attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work processed based as part of a larger team.
  • Ability to work unsupervised at times and to prioritize the assigned workload accordingly
  • Ability to spot and address issues that require attention before they are raised by the user community
  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or equal experience.
  • Ability to learn and master new technologies
  • Financial industry experience a plus
  • Industry certifications a plus
