Job description

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.
About the People team
The People team helps Affirmers cultivate a high-performing, inclusive organization. We focus on three core areas: attracting talent aligned to our mission, enabling growth through people and team development, and retaining employees through thoughtful experiences and rewards. We develop Affirm's people programs and systems to create a workplace where all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully. By investing in our people, we create a long-term advantage for the business.
About the team
Affirm's Learning team enables our people to do their best work and keep getting better. We build practical, high-impact learning solutions that onboard new hires, grow skills, build leaders, strengthen teams, and support a high-performing, collaborative culture aligned to how our business runs.
What you'll do
  • Lead the Learning team at Affirm, from developing a compelling strategy, to executing the design and delivery of solutions that elevate individual, team and leadership capabilities in support of our high performance culture.
  • Work closely with People team members, business stakeholders and leaders to ensure the strategy, initiatives and programs are clearly defined, understood and adopted within the organization to drive consistency, continuous improvement, and a sustainable business advantage.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other teams, such as Talent Management and Organizational Effectiveness, to drive future programming and opportunities to grow employee capabilities and readiness. This includes collaborating with subject matter experts across Affirm in crafting new resources and experiences.
  • Create compelling communications, engagement plans and other internal content to drive change management efforts supporting our People & Organizational Success strategy.
  • Define, measure, and communicate relevant success metrics to stakeholders across the business, demonstrating the value of Learning programs, experiences and investments in our people.

What we look for
  • You've designed and executed a comprehensive learning & development strategy and scaled solutions in an organization with a growing global workforce for 2500+ employees.
  • 15+ years of experience highlighting a combination of learning and leadership development, team leadership, design thinking, experiential learning and measurable results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and evidence-based approach to decision-making and influencing.
  • Innovation in learning modalities and learner experience, including micro-learning, virtual learning experiences, user journeys and learning measurement.
  • Experience managing learning tech platforms, including partnership with People Tech teams and vendors to evolve products and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an appetite for distilling sophisticated information to what matters most. Simpler is better.
  • A "how can we make this better?" mentality. You recognize that "perfect" is not an end state, and continually drive for improvement.
