Their clients can range from small businesses and startups to large companies seeking creative ad solutions for specific campaigns. Freelance Ad Creators need strong design, marketing, and communication skills to meet diverse client needs and deliver effective advertising content. They also manage their own schedules, client communications, and billing.

Job description

Description
US Only
Dominant Digital Agency is hiring a Social Media Content Creator to own creative production across the client portfolio. Candidates must be physically residing in the United States and legally authorized to work in the US. We cannot provide visa sponsorship or consider international applicants for this position.
You'll produce the social content, ad creative, and short-form video that powers marketing programs for local businesses nationwide. This is a hands-on production role with real ownership. You'll build brand template systems for each client, then execute against them at volume across organic social, paid social, and display.
The work is fast-paced and varied. You'll move between clients and formats daily, and you'll see what you make go live the same week you build it. If you're energized by producing a high volume of strong, on-brand work, you'll thrive here.
You'll work closely with our paid social specialist, strategists, and operations team. We use AI tools extensively and expect the same from this role.
How To Apply
Please include short answers to these three questions in your cover letter or application message. We review these before resumes.
  • How much time do you spend on social media in a normal day, and what are you actually looking at?
  • Tell us about a project where you worked inside a brand you didn't create - someone else's colors, fonts, and guidelines. How did you approach it?
  • Share two pieces of work: one where you had plenty of time, and one you turned around fast. What did you prioritize on the quick one?

Compensation: $52,000 - $58,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include medical and dental insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and paid holidays.
Responsibilities
• Produce organic social content - static graphics, animated posts, and short-form video
• Edit short-form video: cutting, captions, music, pacing, vertical formatting, and building video from photo assets
• Build paid social creative for Meta campaigns alongside our paid social specialist
• Produce display ad sets, resizing a single concept across standard banner dimensions
• Set up and maintain per-client brand template systems that make recurring work faster over time
• Use AI tools to draft post copy from client strategy sessions, then edit for voice and accuracy
• Prepare and resize imagery for our web team
• Manage creative production across a dozen-plus client accounts
Qualifications
• 2-4 years producing social and ad creative in an agency, in-house marketing team, or freelance capacity
• Fast and fluent in Canva - our primary production tool
• Short-form video editing in CapCut, Canva, or comparable tools; portfolio should include Reels or Shorts you edited
• Skilled at working within established brand guidelines
• Experience adapting a single concept across multiple sizes and formats
• Strong organizational habits and file management across many accounts
• Preferred: display or banner ad production, experience with home services or the trades, Adobe Creative Suite
• No design degree required
