Job description

Our client is seeking a talented Labor & Employment Counsel to join a collaborative legal team advising clients across a broad range of workplace and human capital matters. This fully remote role offers exposure to sophisticated, high-impact work while maintaining a steady and manageable workload in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Remote L&E Counsel Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including hiring, discipline, termination, accommodations, and workplace policies
  • Draft, review, and revise employment agreements, handbooks, policies, and related documentation
  • Handle administrative charges and agency matters (e.g., EEOC, DOL, and state/local agencies), including preparing position statements and strategic responses
  • Counsel on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., wage and hour, discrimination, leave laws)
  • Support or manage employment-related disputes, including pre-litigation strategy and coordination with litigation teams when necessary
  • Conduct or advise on internal investigations involving employee complaints and workplace misconduct
  • Provide training and guidance to clients on best practices, risk mitigation, and evolving legal requirements
  • Stay current on legal developments and translate them into practical, business-focused advice

Remote L&E Counsel Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership
  • 5+ years of experience practicing labor & employment law
  • Experience across a mix of counseling, compliance, and dispute-related work
  • Familiarity with administrative charge processes and agency interactions preferred
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Practical, solution-oriented mindset with a client-focused approach
