Job description

As a Solution Engineer - Employer Services & HR Tech, you will serve as the lead technical and solution resource for direct and indirect sales teams driving our Unemployment Cost Management (UCM) and Offboarding platforms. You will partner directly with executive leadership, translating complex technical capabilities into tailored HR compliance solutions that maximize operational efficiency and deliver clear ROI.
What you'll do
  • Partner with direct and indirect sales teams as the key technical advisor, leading complex technical discovery, product demonstrations, and solution scoping for UCM and Offboarding applications.
  • Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit assessments to demonstrate long-term ROI and compliance risk mitigation to C-suite and executive decision-makers.
  • Design custom Statements of Work (SOW) and technical requirements for complex data integrations, API workflows, and system configurations.
  • Lead pre-sales technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and information security questionnaires, leveraging automated workflows to drive proposal efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Implementation teams to ensure client requirements are accurately transferred and executed post-sale.
  • Represent the organization at national industry conferences and stay ahead of evolving regulatory trends impacting employer tax and unemployment compliance.
  • Travel up to 25% for high-priority client engagements, solution workshops, and industry events.

What experience you need
  • 7+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Engineering, or Technical Sales Consulting within enterprise SaaS or HR technology ecosystems.
  • Deep Unemployment Cost Management experience
  • Proven ability to architect solutions and communicate technical configurations effectively to both technical developers and business executives.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience.

What could set you apart
  • Technical knowledge of modern cloud architectures, API data exchange standards, and enterprise HCM/payroll platform integrations (e.g., Workday)
  • Track record of building or leveraging generative AI tools to streamline technical RFP responses, solution design, and pre-sales workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience developing custom value models and business cases for enterprise HR and payroll buyers.

Equifax is required by law to include a good-faith salary range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. At Equifax, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $135,000 to $165,000. This position is also eligible for our incentive compensation program at approximately 20%. The application window is anticipated to close on 9/2/26.
