ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re building a brand-new, US-based, fully remote game studio developing new slot games for the Pragmatic Play ecosystem, and we’re looking for an experienced Game Designer to drive the vision for our games.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with a small multidisciplinary team to lead the creation of new games from the ground up with a strong focus on delivering standout themes and high-performing mechanics.
 
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Define and deliver the overall game vision, including game mechanics, play style, and theme
  • Collaborate closely with mathematicians, artists, animators, and sound designers to bring your game to life
  • Playtest and iterate on your game’s math, mechanics, game flow, and visual presentation with an eye toward creating the best player experience possible
  • Produce and maintain clear design documentation for your game
  • Collaborate with other game designers to provide gameplay feedback and recommendations for improvement on each other’s games
  • Regularly play competitors’ games in the iGaming and land-based spaces to stay abreast of industry trends and new mechanics
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
  • 5+ years of experience designing real-money slot games for iGaming or land-based markets
  • Degree in Mathematics, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written communication skills, especially the ability to clearly communicate complex and creative concepts to stakeholders across the globe
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging game mechanics, and player expectations
  • Familiarity with wireframing software such as Figma or Balsamiq
  • You should:
    • Be able to move comfortably between strategic and detailed levels
    • Bring strong organization and structure to a fast-moving environment
    • Be extremely creative, designing experiences that are intuitive and fun
    • Obsess over detail and refinement
    • Provide, accept, and act on feedback constructively
