Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee strategic customer relationships within the industrial and energy sectors across the Americas region. This role will serve as the primary commercial contact for key accounts, working closely with internal technical, operational, and business teams to drive customer satisfaction, business growth, and long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting downstream oil & gas or industrial process customers and a strong background in solution-based sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers to better understand their operational goals, growth plans, and business needs.
  • Drive sales growth across industrial process solutions, equipment, engineered systems, and related service offerings within the assigned territory.
  • Lead customer engagement activities and provide strategic support for account development initiatives.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and support long-term growth strategies.
  • Manage sales targets, revenue goals, and margin expectations across multiple product and service categories.
  • Coordinate internally with technical, operations, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure customer priorities are addressed effectively.
  • Support opportunities involving broader project scopes by collaborating with internal stakeholders to align deliverables and execution plans.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for process technologies, equipment, modular systems, and engineered solutions.
  • Maintain accurate account activity records, customer communications, meeting schedules, and sales documentation.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, pricing strategies, and customer presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments within the industry.
  • Provide sales forecasting updates and demand projections to support operational planning and business objectives.
  • Participate in customer meetings, industry events, technical conferences, and internal commercial reviews.
  • Assist with identifying cross-functional project opportunities across different business units.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed to support customer relationships and business development efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience supporting customers within the downstream oil & gas, refining, petrochemical, or industrial process sectors.
  • Proven experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development through contract award and project execution.
  • Strong understanding of industrial operations, technical solutions, and customer-driven sales strategies.
  • Experience selling process technologies, engineered systems, catalysts, adsorbents, or related industrial solutions is highly preferred.
  • Background working within a global or multinational organization is beneficial.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across technical, commercial, and operational teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong business development and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical and commercial value propositions effectively to customers.
