This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Sales Representative will participate in face to face and remote selling to the company's new and existing customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will help assess equine customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities
  • Development and delivery of sales proposals and conducting detailed presentations for effective product demonstration.
  • Build a business plan for each account developing strong client relationships.
  • Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
  • Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information to senior staff.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Animal experience and nutrition.
  • Drivers license in good standing.
  • Ability to travel a 70% of the time (occasional weekends and overnights).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree in animal nutrition or similar field
  • Bilingual - English and Spanish.
  • Strong proven equine experience
Position Information

Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.

Location: Los Angeles, CA, Remote

The expected salary for this position is $82,000 - $102,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
