This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, enabling you to connect with and support clients while working from the comfort of your own environment. Although largely remote, you will have the opportunity to engage in various outdoor therapeutic activities, such as hiking and equine therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support and counseling to clients facing mental health and substance abuse challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to their needs.
• Foster a nurturing and positive therapeutic relationship with clients while adhering to professional boundaries and Comfort Console Psychotherapy's policies and procedures.
• Monitor client safety and behavior, conducting assessments to ensure a supportive and secure environment.
• Engage clients in therapeutic activities, promoting mental wellness through diverse approaches, including outdoor hikes and fitness groups.
• Develop and facilitate psycho-educational groups and recreational activities designed to empower clients in their recovery journey.
• Implement crisis management strategies and interventions, adapting approaches based on individual client circumstances.
• Demonstrate model behaviors that exemplify our organizational standards in both professional and personal interactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and shift activities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, alongside a current and unrestricted LMFT license in California.
• Must possess at least two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
• Clinical competence in evidence-based practices, including effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to form strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in clinical practice.

Preferred Experience

• A Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy or a similar field is preferred.
• Experience working with clients who have PTSD and complex trauma is highly desirable.
• Previous experience as a mental health therapist, particularly in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with technology-driven therapy tools and methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer an extensive benefits package that includes:
