Job description

Job Title: Account Development Executive - Salt Lake City (Field Sales)Job Description
This field-based role focuses on recruiting local businesses into a new delivery partner program in the Salt Lake City area. You will visit prospective businesses, present the program, qualify leads, and guide them through the application process while managing your pipeline in a CRM system. You will collaborate closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors, support community-based recruitment events, and drive referrals through local organizations. The position requires regular travel within a driving radius of up to approximately two hours and offers uncapped commission based on successful partner conversions.
Responsibilities
  • Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a 90-minute driving distance from Salt Lake City.
  • Present and pitch the new delivery partner program to prospective businesses and generate interest in applying.
  • Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them through the full application process.
  • Lead and track sales activity, maintain detailed notes, and manage the business pipeline using Salesforce or a similar CRM.
  • Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Field Manager to build relationships with local influencers, including chambers of commerce, economic development associations, and other community organizations, to drive referrals.
  • Import and update Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate and current data.
  • Communicate professionally with prospective partners, answer questions, and address concerns to move them through the recruitment funnel.
  • Demonstrate a high sense of urgency in following up with leads and advancing them from initial contact to launch.
  • Problem-solve issues that arise for applicants in the field, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Consistently work toward and exceed recruitment and conversion goals to maximize commission opportunities.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
  • Proven outside or field sales experience, including door-to-door or territory-based sales.
  • Hands-on experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell, negotiate, and influence decision-makers in a business setting.
  • High level of professionalism and enthusiasm when working with others.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues for applicants in the field.
  • Comfort working with multiple systems and technology, including spreadsheets and CRM tools.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately four hours round trip on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while staying accountable to goals and reporting requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the Salt Lake City area and surrounding communities is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in roles that involved sales and/or negotiation with customers is a plus.
  • Previous field sales experience beyond door-to-door, such as territory management, is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with community organizations, chambers of commerce, or economic development groups is beneficial.
  • Comfort presenting in small group settings, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
  • Motivated by performance-based compensation and comfortable working toward stretch goals.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with business owners and local stakeholders.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid field and home-based role centered in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will spend approximately three to four days per week in the field visiting local businesses within a driving distance of up to about 90 minutes to two hours from the city. When not in the field, you will work from home to manage your pipeline, update Salesforce, prepare for upcoming visits, and coordinate community events. The position involves frequent driving, with mileage reimbursed at a specified rate per mile, and requires comfort working independently on the road and in various business environments. The role offers uncapped commission opportunities tied to partner conversion milestones, including payments per application, per ready-to-launch status, and per successful launch plus four weeks, along with additional monthly incentives for hitting goals. You will use technology tools such as Salesforce and Excel regularly and are expected to maintain a professional appearance when meeting with business owners and attending community events.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
