Contracts Manager - Federal (DoD) & State Agencies

Part-Time* | Remote | 25-30 Hours Per Week

Schedule: Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Pay: $36 - $41ย 
Travel: Limited travel may be required

*This position may be filled as either a part-time role (25-30 hours per week) or a full-time position for the right candidate.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support our growing federal and state government contracting operations. This is a part-time remote position ideal for a contracts professional with strong experience in DoD contracting, FAR/DFARS compliance, and full contract lifecycle management.

This role works closely with Business Development, Finance, and leadership teams to support proposal efforts, contract administration, compliance, and contract vehicle management. The right candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do Contract Management
  • Manage full lifecycle government contracts from pre-award through closeout
  • Review solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) for compliance and risk
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, NDAs, and modifications
  • Administer CLINs, funding, periods of performance, and flowdown requirements
Proposal & Business Development Support
  • Support capture and proposal activities for federal and state opportunities
  • Review solicitation requirements and compliance matrices
  • Assist with contract type recommendations (CPFF, T&M, FFP)
  • Support labor category mapping, teaming strategies, and pricing coordination
Contract Vehicles & Systems
  • Maintain registrations and compliance in SAM.gov, SBA, PIEE, and related systems
  • Support management of GSA schedules, IDIQs, and task orders
  • Coordinate contract setup activities in ERP/project systems
Compliance & Financial Coordination
  • Ensure FAR/DFARS compliance and audit readiness
  • Coordinate with Finance and Accounting on billing setup and revenue recognition
  • Monitor contract funding, ceilings, burn rates, and modifications
  • Support contract closeout activities and issue resolution
Qualifications Required
  • 5-8 years of government contracting experience with DoD and/or state agencies
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR and DFARS
  • Experience with federal contract vehicles and SAM.gov administration
  • Experience supporting full contract lifecycle activities
  • Familiarity with Costpoint or similar ERP/project management systems
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field
  • Experience supporting joint ventures and teaming agreements
  • Familiarity with DCAA audits
  • Experience with CPFF, T&M, and FFP contracts
  • NCMA certifications such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM
  • Prior military or DoD experience
