The Enrollment Management Technology Department at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Director of Enrollment Technology.
About the Opportunity
The Director of Enrollment Technology provides strategic leadership and operation oversight of all information technology systems and CRM platforms supporting enrollment management. This role ensures the effective use of technology, data, and system integrations to optimize recruitment, admissions, financial awarding and disbursing, and other enrollment management processes, while aligning with institutional goals.

What You'll Do
  • The Director of Enrollment Technology is the visionary leader in Enrollment Management as it relates to technologies and platforms. This person will provide expert leadership and project oversight in the design, development, and deployment of complex information technology projects critical to the advancement of the University's mission to recruit, admit, and matriculate students.
  • Manage CRM systems: Oversee the operation and maintenance of the University's robust enrollment management CRM. This includes working with all CRM users on use of CRM tools, and training of new staff on the CRM including filter design, workflow operations, and lead management. Troubleshoot client and system issues and update system as needed. Ensure system scalability, performance, and usability.
  • Technology Leadership: Provide strategic vision and enhancement planning to enrollment technologies and platforms. Ensure all staff members have all data and systems needed to effectively perform tasks and meet University goals and objectives. Manage all technologies and platforms utilized by Enrollment Management. Implement new technology initiatives for Enrollment Management. Provide leadership and oversight of projects and tasks. Investigate and resolve data quality issues and escalates situations according to department processes.
  • Align CRM and IT systems and teams with institutional enrollment goals. Act as the liaison between Enrollment Management and WVU ITS to assist in integration between CRM, SIS, and other enterprise platforms. Collaborate with ITS on security and system architecture. Manage vendors and third-party technology solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with institutional policies. Support data-informed decision-making across enrollment teams. Collaborate with other Enrollment Management teams to support, analyze and streamline admissions and recruitment workflows. Oversee user access levels and system permissions are appropriately provisioned based on functional necessity while maintaining full compliance with university and federal guidelines.
  • Supervise and mentor IT and CRM staff. Determine/recommend training requirements/suggestions and provide training on CRM and other technical EM platforms. Meet with staff on scheduled basis. Collaborate with marketing, academic, IT departments and other units as necessary. Maintain documentation of systems and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Higher Education, Business, or related field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the following:
    • CRM administration, IT systems, or enrollment management
    • Experience with CRM platforms (Slate preferred) and SIS platforms (Banner preferred)
    • Experience with reporting tools (SQL, Tableau, ARGOS, etc.)
    • Work experience which provided analytical and technical skills
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.
