Position: Senior Legal Competitive Intelligence / Research Analyst (Global Law Firm)

Location: Remote (must reside in NY, NJ, PA, or CT)

Company: Global AM25 Law Firm

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday: 1:00–9:00 PM, Saturday: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

Compensation: Base Salary up to $150k, bonus, annual performance incentives, comprehensive medical coverage, retirement savings plan with firm contributions, generous pto, and additional employee-focused perks.

 

Summary for Senior Legal Competitive Intelligence / Research Analyst:

Join a collaborative, globally recognized AM25 law firm in this high-impact promotional opportunity for an experienced Competitive Legal Intelligence or Research professional ready for the next step in their career. The Senior Competitive Intelligence / Research Analyst will deliver sophisticated legal, corporate, and market intelligence that supports the Firm's attorneys, clients, and business development initiatives, leveraging leading research platforms and emerging AI technologies to provide strategic insights across multiple practice areas.

 

Responsibilities for Senior Legal Competitive Intelligence / Research Analyst:

  • Conduct complex legal, corporate, financial, and competitive intelligence research using leading research platforms, AI tools, and proprietary resources.
  • Analyze research findings and prepare executive summaries, reports, and strategic insights to support client matters, business development, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Utilize and evaluate a broad range of legal, financial, and business research resources, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Lexis, Westlaw, PitchBook, Practical Law, Refinitiv, FactSet, and other specialized databases.
  • Train and support attorneys and business professionals on research resources, best practices, and cost-effective research strategies while developing research guides and training materials.
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, corporate governance, M&A, and market developments to provide timely intelligence and current awareness updates.
  • Evaluate emerging research technologies, AI tools, and vendor resources while contributing to the Firm's knowledge management and research capabilities.
  • Manage multiple high-priority research requests simultaneously, delivering accurate, strategic work product in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

Qualifications for Senior Legal Competitive Intelligence / Research Analyst:

  • Master of Library Science (MLS) is highly preferred; equivalent legal research and reference experience may be considered.
  • 8+ years of legal, corporate, competitive intelligence, or research experience within a law firm, corporate, or investment banking environment.
  • Strong expertise with legal, corporate, financial, litigation, and business research platforms, including experience utilizing AI-powered research tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and data analysis skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise executive-level work product.
  • Experience preparing competitive intelligence, executive summaries, market research, and business development reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, communication, and client service skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and business professionals while thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
