PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $141,800.00-$173,300.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $110,100.00 - $204,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead Enterprise Competitive Intelligence:Drive enterprise-wide competitive intelligence, market research, and benchmarking across financial services, fintech, and adjacent industries toidentifytrends, opportunities, risks, and strategic implications that shape BECU's future.

  • Transform Research into Strategic Insights:Analyze complex market data, industry trends, and competitive intelligence, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations that support executive decision-making and enterprise strategy.

  • Build Scalable Research Frameworks:Design and continuously improve research methodologies, benchmarking processes, and analytical frameworks that deliver consistent, high-quality insights across the organization.

  • Provide Trusted Strategic Perspective:Serve as a subject matter expert on competitor activity, macroeconomic conditions, emerging technologies, and industry disruption, helping leaders understand the external landscape andanticipatefuture opportunities.

  • Influence Enterprise Decision-Making:Partner with executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to provide objective, data-driven perspectives that strengthen strategic planning, business prioritization, and organizational decision-making.

  • Develop Executive-Level Communications:Create compelling presentations, executive briefings, benchmarking reports, and strategic narratives that simplify complex information into meaningful business insights.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement:Establishrepeatable processes that improve the rigor, efficiency, and effectiveness of external research, competitive analysis, and enterprise benchmarking activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Strategy, or a related disciplinerequired, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, competitive intelligence, strategic planning, market research,or a related analytical functionrequired.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex, ambiguous analytical initiatives by defining research approaches, synthesizing complex information into strategic recommendations, and influencing executive stakeholders throughexpertise, sound judgment, and data-driven insightsrequired.

  • ProficiencyinMSPowerPoint, Excel, and industry research platforms, withdemonstratedability to develop executive-ready presentations and communicate complex business concepts to senior leadership in a clear, compelling, and actionable mannerrequired.

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience in financial services or consulting with financial services clientsstronglypreferred.

  • Knowledge of financial institution trends, fintech innovation, digital transformation, macroeconomic analysis, and competitive intelligence best practices preferred.

  • While this position is open to candidates in BECU's approved remote states, candidatesresidingin Washington state are preferred due to the executive-facing nature of the role and opportunities for in-person collaboration at BECU headquarters.
