What is a remote church?

A Remote Church job involves performing ministry-related tasks, such as preaching, worship leading, counseling, or administrative work, from a remote location. These roles utilize digital tools like video conferencing, streaming platforms, and online communication to serve a congregation or church community. Common positions include virtual pastors, online worship leaders, and remote administrative staff. This setup allows churches to reach broader audiences and provide spiritual support beyond physical locations.

What skills and qualifications are needed for a remote church?

To thrive as a Remote Church Coordinator or Pastor, you need strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, usually supported by a background in theology, ministry, or related fields. Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (such as Zoom or Teams), church management software, and social media tools is typically important for managing online congregation activities and outreach. Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and self-motivation help you engage and guide a dispersed community while providing spiritual support remotely. These skills are crucial to effectively fostering community, maintaining member engagement, and performing pastoral duties in a virtual environment.

What are common challenges faced by staff working in a remote church setting?

Staff working in a Remote Church setting often face challenges related to building strong connections with congregants who may be geographically dispersed and interacting primarily online. Effective communication, managing virtual events, and ensuring participation can require extra effort compared to traditional in-person ministry. Additionally, maintaining a sense of community and spiritual support remotely can be challenging, so creativity and technology proficiency are highly valued skills. However, remote ministry also offers flexibility, opportunities to reach new audiences, and the ability to collaborate easily with team members from different locations.

Job description

Location: Remote (United States)
Work Model: Remote
Industry: AI for enterprise insurance
Compensation: Competitive
About the Company
Our partner is a fast-growing, Series A AI company backed by top-tier investors, transforming how the largest insurance carriers process claims end to end. After roughly 50% month-over-month revenue growth, the team has scaled to around 70 people and is on track to more than double by year end. The culture is fast, feedback-rich, low on bureaucracy, and fully in-person.
The Opportunity
Our partner is hiring a Sales Development Representative to drive the top of its funnel through cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn outreach. You will be the tip of the spear for a company growing revenue around 50% month over month, opening doors at some of the largest insurance carriers in the country. This is a seat for someone early in their career who is hungry, scrappy, and ready to grind on a lean, in-person team.
Responsibilities
  • Run outbound across cold calling, cold email, and LinkedIn
  • Book qualified meetings with enterprise buyers
  • Iterate quickly on messaging and targeting
  • Operate with urgency and ownership on a lean team
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Hungry, scrappy, entrepreneurial, and unafraid of hard work
  • Comfortable with cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Standout signals: started a business, competed in sports at a high level, or retail and sales experience (ideally at a startup)
