This position is primarily remote, offering you the flexibility to work from your home environment while still engaging closely with clients and other team members via digital platforms. • Lead and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of clients.
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress against established treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to develop robust intervention strategies.
• Participate in follow-up procedures with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify behaviors that may impede client recovery and implement strategies for prevention and intervention.
• Work closely with family members and primary caregivers to equip them with tools and strategies for managing mental and behavioral challenges effectively.

Our counseling center serves a diverse population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or trauma, as well as couples and families navigating relational issues. In this role, you will engage with clients from various socioeconomic backgrounds, providing culturally competent care that respects and addresses their unique circumstances. You will play an integral role in helping clients cultivate resilience and establish healthier coping mechanisms.

• A valid New York State license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
• A master’s degree in mental health counseling or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in a mental health counseling role, with proven effectiveness in therapeutic techniques and client management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to clients and team members.
• Exemplary interpersonal skills that reflect a compassionate and empathetic approach to client relationships.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective documentation and tracking of client progress.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or others that align with our clinic’s approach.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or education initiatives related to mental health awareness is a plus.

• Annual salary between USD 80,000 and USD 101,000, dependent on experience and productivity.
