• Perform thorough assessments to evaluate students’ social, emotional, and environmental concerns, and develop tailored service plans based on findings.
• Provide individual and group counseling for students and families, focusing on their specific life challenges while employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Facilitate crisis interventions and safety planning when necessary, enabling immediate support for at-risk individuals.
• Collaborate closely with school staff, educators, and community organizations to integrate services and advocate for students.
• Engage in proactive outreach to the community to raise awareness of the agency's services and foster connections that can benefit clients.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional training to stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in social work.

This role focuses on working with students from varied backgrounds, including those from underprivileged environments and those experiencing trauma. Mental health challenges may range from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues and social struggles. The LCSW will play a critical role in identifying these challenges and implementing effective interventions to support the student’s growth both academically and personally.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• An active state certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong understanding of social justice issues and trauma-informed care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to connect with diverse individuals and families.

• A minimum of one year of relevant experience within a social service or mental health agency.
• Familiarity with school-based mental health services and community resources in Orlando.
• Previous involvement with crisis intervention and emergency response processes.
