• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to understand their needs and challenges.

• Set measurable therapeutic goals and consistently monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

This role primarily focuses on clients within the hospice setting, requiring sensitivity and a deep understanding of end-of-life issues, grief, and bereavement. You will work with individuals facing significant emotional distress, providing them with the support needed to navigate their situations effectively. Your compassion and expertise will be critical in helping them cope with anxiety, trauma, and depression during this challenging time.

• Current and valid LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker - Clinical) license in New York State.
• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Empathetic and non-judgmental attitude, ensuring a safe space for clients to share their experiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, enabling effective case management and client follow-up.

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health or hospice care setting.
• Experience with teletherapy and familiarity with digital platforms used for virtual counseling.
• Background in trauma-informed care and bereavement counseling.
