• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students' mental health needs, developing tailored treatment plans that address individual circumstances and challenges.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to help students navigate emotional and behavioral issues, thereby supporting their academic success.
• Collaborate with educational staff, case managers, psychiatrists, and family members to create a robust support network for clients, ensuring coordinated care and addressing all aspects of well-being.
• Provide crisis intervention during acute stress episodes, employing effective strategies to stabilize situations and support clients in distress.
• Engage in outreach initiatives within the school community to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health challenges.

This role specifically targets students within school settings, enhancing your experience in pediatric and adolescent mental health care. You will work with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, enabling a richer understanding of various mental health issues and their impacts on youth.

• Must hold an active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Exceptional communication skills are vital for establishing rapport with students, parents, and school staff, enhancing the therapeutic relationship and facilitating healing.
• Exhibit cultural competence to effectively address and prioritize the unique experiences of clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation, meet deadlines, and coordinate care efficiently.

• Experience in a school environment or knowledge of educational systems is highly desirable, as it offers unique insights into the challenges faced by the student population.
• Prior experience providing services specifically to children and adolescents will greatly enhance your application.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms or remote counseling methodologies is an added advantage.
