Your next opportunity awaits at Tim Moran Auto Group. We are currently hiring an Automotive Account Manager to join our centralized Regional Business Office team! The Automotive Account Manager serves as a liaison between the Dealership(s) to which you are assigned and the centralized Regional Business Office. Please note: this is an on-site role located in Hemet, CA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive accounting, dealership financial management, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry. As an Automotive Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and manage all aspects of the dealership financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Dealership Accounting:
    • Oversee the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and industry standards.
    • Manage the dealership financial statements, trial balances, and other financial documents, collaborating with the accounting team as necessary.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes, utilizing technology and best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and manage the assigned accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to promote professional growth and performance excellence.
    • Oversee employee performance making sure they meet expectations and address any issues or concerns.
    • Assists when necessary to fill in for staff shortages due to vacancies, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, service, and operations, to ensure alignment of financial goals and accurate reporting.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Business Manager or Account Manager in an automotive dealership
  • Dealerbuilt experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards in the automotive industry.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, senior management, and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
