• Conduct in-depth mental health evaluations and crisis interventions for children and adolescents, developing individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions and psychoeducational workshops, focusing on skills development and emotional support.
• Coordinate closely with Reentry Social Workers to ensure thoughtful discharge planning services, aligning with best practices for mental health continuity of care.
• Collaborate with the Department of Correction to champion access for patients and secure appropriate housing and treatment dispositions.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and treatment efficacy; complete required statistical reports to support ongoing program evaluation.
• Participate actively in clinical supervision with a Clinical Supervisor on a weekly basis while mentoring interns or student volunteers as designated.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams during mental health and medical rounds, contributing insights and fostering a team-driven approach to patient care.
• Assess and determine appropriate distributions of patients for various levels of mental health care, ensuring that all clients receive optimum support.

This role primarily focuses on serving children and adolescents, a demographic that requires specialized skills and understanding. Our patients often face complex challenges including behavioral issues, emotional disturbances, and situational crises. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be influential in fostering resilience, emotional growth, and recovery in this young population through evidence-based practices.

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.
• Must be independently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• Strong clinical competencies with proven ability to establish rapport, trust, and effective therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities that foster collaboration in a team-oriented environment.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in mental health care.

• Prior experience working with families and groups in therapeutic settings, particularly with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of intervention strategies and methodologies relevant to mental health disorders prevalent in younger populations.
• Familiarity with psychological testing and assessment tools.
