, Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Recruitment Operations will build and transform Howmet Fastening Systems ("HFS") Talent Acquisition performance in high-volume Hourly and Salaried recruitment. This position will not lead a team but will manage this scope as an individual contributor. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving KPIcentric reporting and rigorous process management. You'll define, track, and report on critical recruiting metrics, and translate data insights into actionable improvements. Through close collaboration with Recruiters, HR, hiring leaders, and external vendors, you'll standardize workflows, automate key tasks, and embed continuous improvement practices that elevate hiring efficiency, cost effectiveness, and candidate experience across the organization. Additionally, you will drive strategic recruitment marketing initiatives to elevate market awareness and establish Howmet as an employer of choice. The successful candidate will report to the HR Director of Centers of Excellence for HFS.

Essential Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition Analytics & Reporting

  • Establish and monitor Talent Acquisition KPIs and analyze recruiting data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilizes headcount forecasting and turnover trends to optimize resource management and ensure proactive workload alignment.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations and communicate data-driven recommendations to Talent Acquisition, HR, leadership and key stakeholders.

Talent Acquisition Process & Operational Excellence

  • Evaluate and enhance Talent Acquisition processes, workflows, and best practices by proactively identifying gaps and inefficiencies, while partnering with Global Talent COE, internal stakeholders, and technology providers to implement, improve, and effectively use recruiting systems and tools.
  • Research and evaluate new recruiting methods, technologies, and best practices and develop standardized tools and resources, including interview guides, templates, and process documentation.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize a comprehensive library of standardized job descriptions and offer letter templates to ensure compliance, consistency, and brand alignment across the organization.

  • Evaluate and recommend new leading-edge recruiting tools, technologies, automation/AI, and other solutions that improve recruiter effectiveness, operational efficiency, and candidate experience.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives from identification through implementation and measure results.

Candidate Engagement & Brand Strategy

  • Improve candidate experience by identifying opportunities for candidate communication, interview processes, scheduling, feedback, and overall engagement.
  • Develop and execute recruitment marketing strategies that strengthen employer branding, elevate the employee value proposition and increase organizational visibility to attract high-quality, diverse talent.
  • Ensure market alignment of job titles, job descriptions, and recruitment messaging while leveraging digital channels, social media, and career platforms to enhance the candidate experience and position the organization as an employer of choice.

Vendor & External Partner Management

  • Manage relationships with external Talent Acquisition partners, including staffing firms, recruiting agencies, recruiting technology providers, and other service providers.
  • In partnership with Global Talent COE, support vendor evaluation and selection, establish performance expectations, monitor service delivery, and identify opportunities to improve vendor performance, service quality, and cost efficiency.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Recruitment Operations, recruiting processes, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate processes, identify gaps, and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting recruiting data and developing KPIs, reports, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
  • Knowledge of recruiting technology, Applicant Tracking Systems, and other Talent Acquisition tools.
  • Ability to evaluate new technologies, methods, and industry practices.
  • Strong vendor management, project management, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence recruiters, hiring managers, senior leaders, and external partners.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
, Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and/or a related field required.

Experience and Background

  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Operations, Recruiting Operations, People Operations, and/or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on ATS utilization, preferably with Oracle People Systems.
  • Experience leading recruiting operations, process improvement initiatives, or cross-functional projects.
  • Experience developing and analyzing recruiting KPIs, reports, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
  • Experience managing staffing firms, recruiting agencies, technology providers, or other external Talent Acquisition vendors.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing recruiting tools, technologies, or process improvements.
  • Experience supporting complex or multi-location recruiting operations preferred.
  • Experience in a global, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or other regulated industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations, including EEO and OFCCP requirements, preferred.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility is required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work on site full time in Torrance or Fullerton, California.
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% locally

Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $140,00-$180,000, plus bonus.
