Job description

MSW Program Coordinator

St. Ambrose University is seeking a collaborative and student-centered MSW Program Coordinator to support the administration, recruitment, enrollment, and delivery of the Master of Social Work (MSW) Program. This position serves as a key resource for prospective and current students while coordinating admissions, marketing, advising support, program operations, and accreditation-related activities.

The Coordinator works closely with the MSW Director, faculty, university departments, and students to promote student success and ensure the efficient operation of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the MSW admissions process, including applicant communication, admissions committee support, decision notifications, onboarding, orientation, and registration.
  • Support recruitment and marketing initiatives in collaboration with University Marketing and Communications and the MSW Director.
  • Assist with the delivery of online and on-ground MSW programs, ensuring a positive and student-focused learning experience.
  • Collaborate with faculty and the MSW Director to maintain program schedules, records, curriculum communications, and accreditation-related documentation.
  • Manage student enrollment and admissions data through Slate, Colleague, and related university systems while maintaining data integrity.
  • Coordinate advising activities, advisor assignments, registration support, and student plans of study.
  • Support meetings, orientations, community-building initiatives, and other School of Social Work activities.

Qualifications

  • One degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) or a minimum of five years of experience in higher education required.
  • Online teaching or online learning support experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and project management skills.
  • Experience working with student information systems, CRM platforms, databases, and reporting tools preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
