The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is the primary leader for retail security operations, overseeing guard services and security programs across multiple sites and states. This role is responsible for operational excellence, client satisfaction, and strong team performance.
The RAM manages all aspects of service delivery for the assigned retail account, including client service and issue resolution, service enhancement and expansion, new business support, and operational efficiency. The RAM travels to all locations at least once per quarter to conduct full risk inspections and assessments. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining post orders, leading staffing and scheduling, and providing supervision, coaching, and training to ensure a professional, compliant, and customer-focused security operation.

This is a fully remote position, candidate must reside within 100 miles of Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Serves as a key point of client contact to ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service for assigned account; evaluates service quality and initiates any necessary corrective action in a timely manner.

  1. Meets regularly with client representatives for status updates; addresses any actual or potential problems; assists line management in negotiation of client contract; provides support during client start-up; supports security planning, assessments and surveys; reviews and updates post orders.

  1. Administers and coordinates with line management, and participates in the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff; acts to ensure that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect; plans, assigns, and directs work; coaches employees and carries out disciplinary actions, as necessary.

  1. Assists in development and administration of budget in relation to assigned account.

  1. Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

  1. Within scope of client contract and assigned duties, authorizes appropriate expenditures including equipment, supplies, and vehicles; acts to ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and administers driver training; acts to ensure that there is an adequate inventory of uniforms, radios, and other supplies and equipment; maintains and submits payroll records and other associate and business information.

  1. Prepares and coordinates staffing schedules for account, in collaboration with line management as necessary; acts to ensure that scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs; reviews Security Officer site reports to verify post orders and client directives have been satisfactorily followed; personally, inspects all posts as part the evaluation of security staff.

  1. Provides input to company initiatives; promptly assists in the resolution of legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.

  1. Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned account.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of proven experience in security operations management, preferably in a regional or multi-site capacity.
  • Military or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorizations specified for the assigned accounts.
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Skill in staff supervision, including assigning work and providing training and discipline.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
  • Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
  • Knowledge of business operations management and human resources administration.
  • Ability to synthesize business/financial data and develop recommendations.

Education/Experience:
  1. Associate's Degree and 3 years of responsible experience in the security industry and/or business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of relevant management experience with increasing responsibility within the retail security industry or related public sector.
  3. Professional certification, such as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) a plus.
  4. Proficiency in security management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Persuasive and articulate leader able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of security personnel and Client colleagues.
  6. Effective project management and organizational skills to oversee complex projects.
  7. Excellent team building, collaboration, communication, and presentation skill
