Job description

Title: Technical Records Specialist

Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite 5-days/week)

Overview:
Global Power Components is a privately held, rapidly growing manufacturer of UL heavy-gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures housing fully integrated electrical distribution and control systems. Operating from our newly expanded 300,000 sq. ft. facility, we continue to invest in people, technology, and process excellence as the recognized leader in our industry. As we scale operations and continue to optimize our record keeping, we are looking to add a Technical Records Specialist who will work within the Electrical Engineering group, building and maintaining a thorough and organized set of records to include electrical testing reports and photos, training documents, and equipment logs. 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all testing documentation (standard forms, equipment-generated data, photos, etc.) is thoroughly completed. 
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems to ensure records are accurate, secure, and easily retrievable. 
  • Expedite paperwork to necessary team members as needed. 
  • Track and maintain records of engineering and testing equipment (tool assignments, condition, calibration records). 
  • Assist with creation of new work instructions and reports for electrical testing. 
  • Work with management on occasional team initiatives. 

Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and procedural mindset to support a fast-paced team. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Quality Control, etc. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Valid Driver's License with ability to occasionally travel between Milwaukee-area facilities. 
  • Ability to spend approximately 50% of time on your feet in a dynamic industrial environment. 
  • 2+ years of experience in records management, document control, administrative support, or technical documentation. 
  • Experience in manufacturing or electrical trades preferred.
