RECEIVER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Receiver for a company based in Elkwood, VA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a key part in daily operations by managing incoming shipments, supporting inventory control, and working closely with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
$18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Receiver Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and identifying any damage or discrepancies.
  • Communicate with sales and inventory control teams regarding damaged or mis-shipped items via phone and email.
  • Log all incoming trucks and deliveries daily using spreadsheets, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts to unload materials, including lumber trucks when needed.
  • Check in small packages and miscellaneous dock freight, organizing materials for proper storage.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support overall warehouse organization.
Receiver Qualifications and Requirements
  • Prior experience in receiving and/or shipping departments required.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Strong inventory management experience and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using computers and spreadsheets for daily tracking and communication.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials safely in a warehouse environment.
