Job Summary
The Receiver will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility of the Receiver is oversee and execute daily deliveries and transfers for the store. In addition, the Receiver will maintain consistent communication with store vendors and Support Center to ensure accuracy with orders and deliveries.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serve customers throughout the store while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Check in daily store deliveries; verify the order and confirm all the items are accurate and undamaged
  • Assist with unloading and separating daily deliveries
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with vendors and the Support Center
  • Review invoices to ensure accuracy; report any discrepancies and send invoices to the Financial Department at the Home Office
  • Gather orders for other locations to be transferred via the Transfer Truck
  • Maintain daily reports such as supply ordering logs and invoice tracker
  • Assist with cleaning and maintain back room, coolers and back stock
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new Receivers
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other store duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of store equipment
  • Prior experience in a grocery setting is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including data entry and spreadsheets
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Eagerness to interact with customers
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Strong computer skills, working knowledge in Microsoft Office product suite and Google Products
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
