Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain coding compliance for our multi-specialty clinic.
  • Stay updated on ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and coding skills.
  • Perform internal quality assurance and report findings.
  • Identify coding weaknesses and develop effective training plans.
  • Review and audit patient disputes and insurance denials related to coding.
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize your workload.
  • Train and mentor new Certified Medical Billing Coders.
  • Conduct orientation and training reviews with new providers.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Audit new providers and coding team members for productivity.
  • Maintain an active Certified Professional Coder certification.
  • Assist billing/collection specialists in resolving coding issues.
  • Represent the department in meetings with confidence.
  • Manage team payroll and conduct evaluations.
  • Provide coaching and handle HR disciplinary actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to our collaborative team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Certified Boding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
  • 3-5 years experience with revenue cycles, billing/collections required.
  • Experience with EMR required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.
  • Bilingual preferred.
