The Senior Proposal Manager is responsible for submitting and managing all bids related to the Biopharma Life Sciences division of the Regional Business Units, with particular attention on large EPC/D&B Proposals.
The Senior Proposal Manager provides effective leadership and coordination of the bid process, managing a matrix team of internal and external contributors and specialists to deliver consistent bids which meets the Clients' requirements and aspirations while embracing the Exyte's values and policies. This role leads, contributes, and supports the contributing teams to ensure the Proposals are submitted on time and meets all bid requirements (RFQ, RFP, or unformal Clients' Requirements).

Plans, defines, builds, and leads the Proposal Team
  • Understand the Client needs, requirements, and challenges.
  • Review the strategy to win the tender.
  • Establishes the detailed schedule of the Proposal development and ensures its follow-up.
  • Defines the means, resources, and budget to be implemented to develop the Proposal.
  • Leads and coordinates the bid process, ensuring all internal or external contributors and SME understand the expectations and their responsibilities.
  • Knows the contents of the bid thoroughly so that control, compliance and ownership is clearly communicated in our Proposal, but as well internally.
  • Oversees and reviews the production, editing, formatting, proof reading and publication of submission documents including executive summaries, project scope and timeline, proposed solution(s) and methodologies, price, references, contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensures that Proposals are completed and submitted by deadlines.

Support the negotiations and conclusion of the contract & transfer the contract file to Project Delivery Team
  • Assists the Business Development Team with the negotiations with the client.
  • Prepares and checks the final contract documentation and annexes when successful.
  • Organizes and Participates to a transfer/handover meeting with the Project Delivery Team

Compliance
  • Ensures compliance with all HSEQ policies and Code of Conduct of the Company.
  • Organizes and facilitates the key internal reviews, to ensure the highest relevance and compliance of the Proposal governance with the Company processes and with the Customer's requirements.
  • Prepare the approvals processes and the supporting documents for Risk and Opportunities Management Reviews.

Continuous Improvement
  • Promote best bidding practice across the BLS Business Units.
  • Edit, maintain, and share boilerplate materials to demonstrate consistency and global capabilities across the BLS Business Units.
  • Gather "lessons learnt" and other feedback from executed projects and Proposals' feedback (won or lost).
  • Gathers intelligence and statistics about the regional construction market (partners, suppliers, competition, good practices).

Show your expertise
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, business administration or economics.
  • 10 years related experience, with minimum 5 years in a lead role in Construction/Engineering management and/or Proposal management.
  • EPC/D&B experiences will be a differentiator.
  • Successful track record of managing / taking a key role in a winning bid team
  • 5 years managing peopled

Preferred:
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to follow and enforce document template management in line with company branding.
  • Good working knowledge with SharePoint
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Good working knowledge of Time Scheduling
  • Active Team Player and Team Leader.
  • Ability to work under pressure and define and lead a programme to a deadline.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
