Job description

Job Summary
Our in-house Marketing team supports TDIndustries' business development with strategic customer communication, presentation support, RFP response and proposal creation. We seek an innovative Proposal Writer committed to producing professional proposal narratives and designs that articulate our organization's value to attract new business and drive revenue. Responsible for supporting the strategic development of commercial (B2B) proposals and is an expert in written communication and project management. Assignments include overall development, maintenance, execution and leadership in the creation of compliant and compelling proposals, RFP responses, proposal writing and pitch meeting material development. The Proposal Writer has outstanding communication, a keen eye for detail, sales and positioning knowledge, excellent project management skills and the ability to manage concurrent work streams and approach each initiative with a positive can-do attitude.
Essential Duties
  • Work with the marketing team in the execution of key marketing activities to exceed goals and fuel new business growth.
  • Works closely with marketing managers and sales teams to prepare proposal submissions, qualifications packages, presentations, brochures and other related activities.
  • Write, create and maintain well-organized files for proposals and presentations.
  • Management of proposal development, including evaluation of requirements, gathering proposal template content and material from key stakeholders, consolidating team member input into clear and meaningful responses while complying with all RFI/RFP response requirements per brand guidelines.
  • Works with the proposal manager, business development teams and technical team to prepare concise, compelling and RFP-compliant documents.
  • Provide timely entry of accurate and complete opportunity information in CRM/database.
  • Collaborates with business unit leaders to produce high-quality content, establishing and managing the appropriate editorial calendars and workflows to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro and InDesign
  • Contributes to digital content hubs, including case studies, project profiles, award submittals, blogs, etc.
  • Assist with lead tracking and capital planning research.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field required
  • 5+ years experience in proposal writing, technical writing, grant writing, government/non-profit or journalism required
  • Knowledge of construction industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple activities while achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external personnel with attention to detail.
  • Proven track record working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Persistent attitude to handle multiple deadlines while adapting to a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with leadership and clients.
  • Ability to self-manage project assignments from start to finish with minimal oversight.
  • Expert in MS Office Suite and Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with CRM systems.
