Position Summary

TAS Environmental Services is seeking a detail-oriented Proposal & Business Development Coordinator to support the preparation, coordination, and submission of proposals, bids, RFPs, RFQs, pre-qualification packages, and other business development materials.

This position works closely with Business Development, Operations, Safety, Finance, People Experience, and other TAS departments to gather accurate information and ensure submissions are complete, professional, timely, and aligned with customer requirements.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple opportunities while effectively communicating TAS’s capabilities, experience, safety commitment, and environmental service solutions.

Principal Responsibilities

Proposals & Bids

  • Coordinate RFPs, RFQs, bids, proposals, prequalification packages, and customer-requested submissions.
  • Review bid documents and identify requirements, deadlines, required forms, certifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare, edit, format, and proofread proposal materials for accuracy and professional presentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain operational, safety, financial, insurance, workforce, equipment, and company information.
  • Ensure all proposal requirements are completed and submitted by established deadlines.
  • Complete electronic submissions through customer procurement and proposal portals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company pricing, customer information, and other sensitive business information.

Business Development Support

  • Support Business Development with new opportunities and existing customer needs.
  • Assist with customer prequalification and vendor registration requirements.
  • Maintain proposal templates, capability statements, project references, certifications, and other frequently requested materials.
  • Track active, pending, awarded, and unsuccessful proposal opportunities.
  • Assist with presentations, customer information packets, and other business development materials.
  • Maintain current information regarding TAS services, locations, capabilities, equipment, and certifications.

Internal Coordination & Documentation

  • Work closely with Operations, Safety, Finance, People Experience, and other departments to gather required proposal information.
  • Communicate deadlines and requirements to internal stakeholders and follow up on outstanding information.
  • Verify company information, capabilities, certifications, and commitments with the appropriate department before submission.
  • Maintain organized electronic records of proposals, supporting documentation, and completed submissions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve proposal accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.


Requirements:

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 Years experience in an equivalent role, or Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proofreading, editing, formatting, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related business applications.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Ability to learn and navigate customer procurement and proposal submission portals.
  • Two or more years of experience in proposal coordination, business development, sales support, marketing, or a related position.
  • Experience preparing RFPs, RFQs, bids, proposals, or customer prequalification packages.
  • Experience in environmental services, industrial services, emergency response, waste management, transportation, or a related industry.
