Job description

The Sr. Proposal & Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading the development, coordination, and execution of high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and marketing materials that support sales growth and strengthen market positioning. This role serves as a key partner to Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership teams to ensure all client-facing materials are accurate, compelling, and aligned with company strategy.

This position combines expertise in proposal management, content development, and marketing execution, while leveraging modern tools-including AI-driven technologies and data insights-to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, strategic thinker, and highly organized professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

This role is based in Grapevine, Texas, with an initial in-office requirement for a minimum of 90 days and potential for a hybrid work arrangement thereafter. This position will not be fully remote.

This position may have access to sensitive information such as PII and/or PHI. As such, all Academic HealthPlans employees sign and adhere to AHP's Information Security Handbook covering information security policies and procedures.

Your Impact

  • Lead the end-to-end development of proposals and RFP responses, including content creation, coordination, and submission
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, compelling, and client-focused messaging
  • Partner with Sales to support win strategies, competitive positioning, and value propositions
  • Maintain and update proposal content libraries, templates, and response materials
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials including brochures, presentations, case studies, and product sheets
  • Write, edit, and refine content to align with brand standards and messaging strategy
  • Support brand and communication initiatives across multiple channels
  • Provide sales teams with materials such as market insights, competitive research, and product information
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and support reporting and data needs
  • Assist with account analysis and other sales support activities
  • Support execution of digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and website updates
  • Contribute to SEO-focused content development and optimization efforts
  • Utilize digital tools and AI technologies to enhance content performance and efficiency

Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in proposal development and management, marketing, including digital marketing experience
  • Strong experience developing RFP responses and proposal content
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Comfort using AI tools and modern technologies to improve efficiency and quality
  • Bachelor's degree required (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field)
  • Relevant certifications in marketing, proposal management, or digital tools are a plus
  • Training or certification in AI tools, content strategy, or digital marketing platforms is preferred
