Maintenance Supervisor

Do you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and tackling challenges head-on? Are you a skilled problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining safe, beautiful, and efficient living spaces? As a Maintenance Supervisor at Flaherty & Collins Properties, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things maintenance, leading a talented team and making a tangible difference on-site at your property daily.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage the property’s maintenance team to ensure timely and high-quality service.

  • Oversee all maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and property inspections.

  • Ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are operating efficiently and safely.

  • Coordinate with the Property Manager to prioritize and address maintenance requests and projects.

  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted work to ensure quality and timeliness.

  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among your team.

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations to protect residents and property.

  • Train, mentor, and develop your team to achieve their full potential.

  • Ensure apartment homes are made ready for upcoming new residents.

  • Perform snow and ice removal.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Weekend work is required as needed. 

  • Physical tasks are required, along with other duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • You’re certified in HVAC/EPA and other relevant fields.

  • You have 3 or more years of proven experience in maintenance operations, preferably in multifamily housing. Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable. 

  • You have hands-on experience in maintenance, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.

  • You’re a natural leader who can inspire and guide a team to deliver their best work.

  • You’re highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities while staying focused on the big picture.

  • You’re a problem-solver who thrives on finding practical solutions to challenges.

  • You take pride in delivering excellent service and creating spaces residents are proud to call home.

  • You’re familiar with maintenance/property management software and comfortable using technology to streamline processes.

  • You’re flexible and ready to respond to after-hours or weekend emergencies as needed.
