Job description

Role: Accounts Manager

Location: North Side of Indianapolis

FSLA: Exempt + Commission Package

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Account Manager to build strong relationships with commercial clients, manage service expectations, identify enhancement opportunities, and support long-term customer retention.

The Account Manager is responsible for being the primary contact for the assigned customer base. The Account Manager ensures that all services are delivered in a safe, efficient and proactive manner, according to contract specifications, and within the job budget, by collaborating with the Operations Manager. An Account Manager sells enhancements and upgrades to clients, and provides referrals to the business developer for potential new accounts. The Account Manager is also responsible to review contracts prior to delivery to clients for accuracy on realistic commitments, including, but not limited to scope of work, time and material, schedule availability, terms, and proper review and approvals from Komplete management.

In addition to reporting the Key Performance Indicators assigned to an Account Manager, it is a top function of an Account Manager to ensure high customer satisfaction including high retention of customer base and create client long lasting relationships for Komplete. As an Accounts Manager you strive for continuous improvement, in all aspects but not limited to creating and fostering a positive safe workplace culture and daily embeds the company values.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Develops and executes new sales, renewals, and proposals to the current Komplete customer base. Sources and executes customer enhancement and upsells.
  • Sources and builds a pipeline of new customers.
  • Actively drives customer walkthrough of properties on a regular basis.
  • Skillfully negotiates contract details to create value for both the customer and the company. Builds lasting relationships with clients.
  • Provides written communication with both the company and clients.
  • Quickly and effectively solves problems for clients and follows up to ensure lasting resolutions.
  • Attends and represents Komplete in industry events, including social gatherings to show case or attract new clients. Acts and represents Komplete in a professional manner while on site, in premises and off premises.
  • Is available to answer questions or direct questions accordingly.
  • Communicates and engages professionally with the public, clients, vendors, crews, partners and guests.
  • Attends sales, production meetings, or scheduled meetings. May participate or attend company socials, recruiting events, and sponsored company events. Reviews weather forecasts for workforce planning, reviews and keeps up with industry trends.

Education Required:

  • High school diploma or GED

Certifications:

  • five (5) years combined experience/education in the green industry
  • current valid drivers license and eligible to drive under our insurance requirements
  • Possession of the state ornamental & turf pesticide applicator’s license required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiar with the industry full service concept, including snow removal, irrigation, turf, and landscape enhancements
  • Able to work independently with little close supervision
  • Able to read and draw maps
  • Able to estimate, calculate, measure and write sales contracts
  • Able to identify and name basic horticultural/landscape plants, materials and tools and industry equipment
  • Have at least one-year experience in sales or similar role with demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Ability to speak, write, read the English Language
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle
  • Ability to operate lawn and landscape powered equipment, hand tools, and or motorized equipment.
  • Able to lift 50lbs repeatedly
  • Able to lift, bend, walk, climb, grab, stoop, crawl, squat, and complete repetitive hands, legs, and body motions
  • Able to communicate professionally via email, phone, text, in-person, and virtually
  • Able to use basic and standards industry math
  • Able to proficiently use a smart phone, computer and Microsoft office
