Director of Sales – Hotel Revenue & Business Development

Start Your Journey with Midas Hospitality:

Midas Hospitality is seeking a results-driven, strategic, and relationship-focused Director of Sales to lead hotel sales initiatives and drive revenue growth. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, generating new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and partnering with hotel and corporate teams to achieve revenue goals.

The ideal candidate is a motivated hospitality sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and creating strategies that increase market share and maximize hotel performance.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the Director of Sales, you will lead the hotel’s sales efforts by developing new business, strengthening client partnerships, and implementing strategies that support revenue growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed hotel revenue goals.
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling, sales appointments, site visits, and community involvement.
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships to increase repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to capture market share from competitors and expand the hotel’s customer base.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and hotel performance data to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Partner with the General Manager and Revenue Management teams to review pricing strategies, inventory controls, and business mix to maximize revenue.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and market penetration.
  • Utilize STR reports, sales systems, and CRM tools to track opportunities, measure results, and maintain accurate account information.
  • Negotiate contracts, proposals, and agreements while ensuring profitability and alignment with hotel goals.
  • Conduct property tours and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, industry meetings, and community functions.
  • Maintain knowledge of brand initiatives, hotel offerings, local market trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and activity summaries for hotel and corporate leadership.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure seamless guest experience from the sales process through event execution or guest stay.
  • Maintain compliance with Midas Hospitality standards, brand requirements, and company policies.
  • Support additional projects and initiatives assigned by hotel or corporate leadership.

What You Bring:

  • Previous hotel sales, hospitality sales, or business development experience required.
  • Previous experience as a Director of Sales, Sales Manager, or similar revenue-generating leadership role preferred.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales goals, increasing revenue, and developing new business relationships.
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales strategies, market segmentation, group business, corporate accounts, and revenue management principles.
  • Experience interpreting STR reports, sales metrics, and market data preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, hotel sales software, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive measurable results.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings, networking events, and local travel.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, and travel throughout the local market for client meetings, sales calls, networking events, and property tours. Candidates should be able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in both office and hotel environments and requires regular use of computers, phones, and other office equipment.

What We Offer:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance options.
  • 401(k) with company match.
