Assist in managing the project in a cost effective manner by establishing and applying sound management policies pertaining to the organization, customer relations, planning, cost control, and work flow. Responsible for assisting in recruitment, training, management, and supervision of all personnel assigned at the contract site. Responsible for insuring that work is performed to specifications of the contract. Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies. Maintains reports and records as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist the PM in overall management of contractor responsible functions and the Statement of Work.
• Assume the role of Project Manager in his/her absence.
• Manage the project in a cost efficient and effective manner.
• Supervise and train assigned individuals in all phases of Food Service operations. Schedule all personnel and work to ensure contract requirements are met.
• Ensure the project maintains quality standards.
• Responsible for equipment and supplies (proper usage, maintenance, storage, replacement).
• Maintain and generate necessary records required by the contract as well as those required by Goodwill Industries.
• Represent Goodwill Industries in meetings with Government personnel.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Responsible for performance of safety drills and keeping the work site within OSHA and food service standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Supervises all assigned personnel in performance of their duties at the contract site. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and applicable laws.
Work weekends as required to fulfill duties prescribed in the statement of work.
Qualifications To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Two plus years prior supervisory experience in food service or related supervisory positions. Ability to prepare, arrange, or stack items together for safety and neatness. Ability to recognize and report items of poor or unacceptable quality. Ability to operate manual and mechanized equipment. Ability to function in a military setting. Ability to work with limited supervision. Within 90 days of employment must be able to obtain ServSafe certification. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the level required in the contract and upon receiving clearance eligibility must begin work within 30 days. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience of two years food service operations and supervisory experience. Experience in working with disabled individuals preferred. Experience in a military installation.
