Overview
Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an Acquisition Management Support III - Installation Management Support professional to support the Program Manager Warfare (PMW) 120 office within NAVWAR Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I).
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a high-performing team supporting mission-critical U.S. Navy programs in Battle space Awareness and Information Operations.
The ideal candidate will provide senior-level acquisition and program management support, with a focus on installation planning, coordination, and execution for enterprise IT and digital systems across shore and operational environments.
This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of installation-related activities, including alignment of acquisition, logistics, and deployment efforts with program objectives and operational requirements. The role works closely with program leadership, engineers, installation stakeholders, and logistics teams to ensure capabilities are delivered on time and in compliance with DoD and Navy policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Acquisition Management Support III, Installation Management Support will:
  • Provide acquisition and program management support across the life cycle, with emphasis on installation planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Support development and maintenance of installation plans, schedules, and deployment strategies for PMW 120 systems
  • Coordinate with program offices, field activities, logistics teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful system installations and site readiness
  • Assist in developing acquisition documentation, including installation-related requirements, tasking, and contract deliverables
  • Track installation progress, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and performance objectives
  • Identify installation risks and constraints (e.g., site readiness, network availability, hardware delivery) and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Support logistics and asset management activities, including equipment tracking, configuration management, and inventory control
  • Assist with development of cost estimates, installation schedules, and funding requirements to support deployment activities
  • Support preparation of briefings, status reports, and data calls related to installation and deployment efforts
  • Ensure compliance with DoD acquisition policies, cybersecurity requirements (e.g., RMF), and Navy/PEO Digital installation standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support audit readiness and program reporting

Requirements
Skills and Experience
The Acquisition Management Support III, Installation Management Support must have:
  • Active TS/SCI
  • 7+ years of experience in DoD acquisition, program management, installation management, or deployment support
  • Experience in any of the following DoD acquisitions spanning ACAT I / II to ACAT III / IV and AAPs, Projects, and Adaptive Acquisition Framework Pathways (to include Software Acquisition Pathway, Middle Tier Acquisition Pathway, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the DoD acquisition life cycle and system deployment processes
  • Experience supporting system installation, fielding, or deployment of IT, network, or C4ISR systems
  • Familiarity with installation planning, site surveys, integration, and operational readiness activities
  • Knowledge of logistics, asset management, and configuration management processes
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders, including program offices, field units, and technical teams
  • Ability to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics and identify risks to execution
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief stakeholders
  • Experience working in PMO/PEO environments and supporting fielding activities
  • Experience with tools such as MS Project, Excel, Flank SharePoint, Navy ERP, SPIDER, CARD, LCCE, APB, NAVWAR GWB, or similar tools

Education and Certifications
The Acquisition Management Support III, Installation Management Support must meet the following:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Acquisition, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • DAWIA Certification in Program Management, Logistics, or Acquisition or equivalent

Preferred
  • Master's degree
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Certified Professional Logistician (CPL), or Lean Six Sigma
  • Familiarity with deployment/logistics or installation management training

Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
