Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Manager of Project Management to lead and develop a growing team of Project Managers supporting the various departments and organizations In this role, your primary responsibility is not direct project execution but rather building and enabling a high-performing project management team and organization. You will establish and reinforce project management standards, develop talent, drive consistency across projects and programs, and ensure Project Managers have the tools, resources, and support necessary to successfully execute complex initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers. Provide coaching, performance feedback, career development guidance, and growth opportunities to build a high-performing organization.
  • Project Management Excellence: Establish and maintain project management standards, methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure consistency, transparency, and effective execution across programs.
  • Resource Planning & Allocation: Assess team capacity, allocate Project Managers to initiatives based on business priorities and skillsets, and ensure resources are aligned to organizational objectives.
  • Organizational Scaling: Design and improve processes, governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and operational rhythms that support sustainable growth and increased program complexity.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Maintain visibility across multiple programs and projects, proactively identifying cross-functional dependencies, risks, and opportunities that may impact overall delivery.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with engineering, product, operations departments and executive leadership to align priorities, communicate portfolio health, and drive organizational accountability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing project management professionals.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling project management organizations, processes, and governance structures.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, portfolio management practices, and resource planning.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional programs.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with a passion for developing people and teams.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to identify organizational risks, drive alignment, and make prioritization decisions in fast-paced environments. • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and organizational development.
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is a plus.
