Job description

  • You will be responsible for, but not limited to, transactingrequisitions forprimally Bulk, Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment/Material commoditiesby carrying out the strategic sourcing process
  • You will prepare and assemble RFQ's, analyze quotations, inquiry negotiations, selects successful supplier, and placespurchase orders (incl. purchase order confirmation) to Americas suppliers
  • Additionally, a detailed knowledge of Company's products and the ability to understandengineering deliverables, terminology, and practices is required for this role
  • Further, you will be collaborating with LE strategic sourcingteam to create, maintain and negotiate local and/or global frame agreementsconsistent with Linde Engineering product line strategy and business interests
  • You will follow procurement standards and quality systems andfocuses on compliance with procurement work processes
  • Supporting projects at preparation of Project ProcurementStrategy / Project Procurement Plan and the selection of suppliers for bidderlists is part of your role
  • Using available forecasts, understand and identify allcorresponding risks and opportunities and obtain best in class supplier priceand delivery performance is also part of your role
  • You will conduct timely review of all proposals and ensuremost competitive opportunity is included in capital project proposal estimate as well as facilitate technical & commercial Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) evaluationswith stakeholders
  • Once the projects are being executed, you will understand supplier'scost stack and use TCO levers to achieve cost reduction, cycle time reduction,improved services, increased reliability or productivity improvements
  • You will provide Engineering, Operations and Business input, in addition you will leadnegotiations for supplier back charges and claims
  • Understanding supplier capacity and lead time constraints and effectively communicating any risks back to project team and business is crucial for this roleย  ย  ย  ย ย
